Chiaki Nakajima is a Venture Fellow at Impact Science Ventures, focused on helping industrial and deeptech companies move from laboratory to market through commercialization strategy and cross-border partnerships between the U.S. and Japan.

"Climate innovation requires more than breakthrough technology - it requires aligned capital, strategic partnerships, and the ability to navigate complex industrial systems. My Learning for Action Fellowship experience helped me connect those dots and step confidently into the climate tech ecosystem with both rigor and purpose."

She came to this work through deep operational experience: at DoorDash, she scaled DoorDash Drive internationally, growing revenue 20x and building a $100M+ B2B business. At Kearney, she advised on corporate strategy and transformation across the U.S. and Japan. She holds an MBA from INSEAD.

Reflecting on her LFA Fellowship experience, Chiaki shares: "Climate innovation requires more than breakthrough technology — it requires aligned capital, strategic partnerships, and the ability to navigate complex industrial systems. My Learning for Action Fellowship gave me the framework to see how all these pieces connect."

Chiaki is focused on the commercialization gap, the space between a working technology and a scaled business, and on building the U.S.-Japan partnerships that help close it.
