How AI and Machine Learning Models Will Transform Weather and Climate Forecasting

AI is rapidly reshaping the weather and climate enterprise - unlocking new skills in forecasts, redefining how we use data, and opening opportunities for global collaboration.

In this talk, long time mentor at Terra.do, Daniel Rothenberg, Co-Founder and Head of Data & Weather at Brightband, will explore how AI-native Earth System models can deliver fast, probabilistic forecasts at unprecedented global scales.

He will share Brightband’s vision for an open ecosystem of benchmark datasets, models, and evaluation metrics that will set a new standard for the forecasting community.

The session will dive into how advanced machine learning, cloud-native infrastructure, and emerging observation networks can work together to make weather and climate information more accessible, accurate, and actionable for everyone.
