In this 60-minute session, we’ll show you how to work with Claude Design and take your designs into Claude Code. We’ll look at the design choices that help people follow your research, understand your data and find what they need.

​What we’ll cover

• ​We’ll explain what a design system is and how shared choices for typography, colour and layout help you guide Claude. We’ll walk through the setup and show how to refine your designs.
• ​We’ll take the designs into Claude Code and show how to make your code follow the same design system.
• ​We’ll look at more advanced possibilities, such as motion design, with examples you can draw on for your own work.

​One example is Vanishing Earth, BD’s interactive website about five ecosystems near tipping points. We’ll look at how it uses scrolling and data to tell a climate story.

​There’s time for questions after each part, so bring yours about the setup or a project you’re working on.

​This session is for professionals, researchers and people working on climate, social impact or other public-interest projects who want to use AI in their work. You don’t need a design background to join.
