About WPD

Since its foundation in 1996, wpd has established itself in the market for wind and solar energy and has developed into one of the leading project developers and operators of onshore and offshore wind farms and solar parks in Germany and Europe. With a staff of 2,680 employees worldwide, the wpd group has realized projects with 2,270 wind turbines and an output of 4,720 MW in total. In addition to developing projects in-house, wpd also assumes project partnerships, commercial set-up, contractual drafting, project financing until completion and operation of wind turbines. wpd is constantly expanding its international activities and has set up a worldwide project pipeline of 11,300 MW onshore, 7,400 MW offshore and 1,150 MWp solar PV. Today, wpd is active in 25 countries worldwide. Thanks to the experience and know-how as well as the excellent networking of the teams and locations, wpd is able to use valuable synergy effects in national and international projects for a successful implementation and thus to further advance the energy transition.
