Marstel-Day was founded in November, 2002 with a commitment to enhancing the environment, promoting ecological services, and permanently conserving natural resources and habitat. Our work includes Climate Adaptation, Ecosystem Services, Net Environmental Benefits Assessments, Encroachment Management, Land Planning and Use for Conservation, Environmental Assessments and Impact Statements, Water Demand Forecasting, Energy and Renewables, and Open Space Acquisition. More recently, we have extended our reach to work on environmental issues influencing the international arena, by analyzing the extent to which environmental trends and drivers affect security. Much of our work involves a high degree of public communications, outreach and engagement. Marstel-Day is committed to bringing the best thinking possible to bear upon institutional public policy issues and in 2009 and 2010 garnered recognition through numerous awards such as The Environmental Business Journal; HOTFIRM; INC Magazine 500/5000; the Virginia Fantastic 50; and The Tayloe Murphy Chairman's Award from the Darden School of Business.
