Job Description
AECOM is seeking experienced Environmental Project Managers in the Northeast region with investigation/remediation experience and regulatory knowledge in the states of CT, MA, NH, RI, ME and/or VT. This position will report to one of the AECOM offices in the Northeast region including but not limited to Chelmsford MA, Rocky Hill CT, Providence RI and lead a team of diverse professionals. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience managing diverse teams, show regulatory and client engagement on complex sites, investigation/remediation project experience, and require a strong focus on health and safety, be detailed orientated, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, and will be capable of working collaboratively in a high-performance team.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Managing scope, schedule, and budget for complex investigation/remediation projects
• Manage Project Managers to deliver internal and external KPIs
• Building strong client relationships
• Client and regulatory correspondence
• Technical report writing and review
• Analyzes and applies solutions to atypical and/or semi-complex and challenging issues within area of expertise
• Preparing cost estimates and proposals
• Working effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders
• Responsible for quality control of tasks
• Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits
• Mentor project Jr. staff
• Will require some regional travel for field visits
• Supervise up to 10 staff
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s in Environmental Science, Soil Science, Geology, or closely related field and 6+ years of Project Management experience and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Due to the nature of this role, US citizenship is required
• Qualified applicants who are offered the role will be subject to a background check
Preferred Qualifications
• 15+ years of experience in environmental consulting with a focus on site investigation / remediation
• 8 years of project management experience
• Experience managing teams and other project managers
• Experience working with environmental regulatory agencies in CT, MA, NH, ME, RI, and/or VT
• 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training
Additional Information
• Please note that this role can be based anywhere in the United States and compensation data will vary in each location, including higher or lower than the stated range
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $120,000.00 - $140,000.00.
