Senior Solar PV & Energy Storage Design Engineer

Nabu Enterprises is hiring a Senior Solar PV & Energy Storage Design Engineer in Pune, Maharashtra. Candidates should have at least 6 years of experience in solar PV design, familiarity with NEC and local codes, and proficiency in AutoCAD and related software. Responsibilities include project planning, design execution, and documentation support for solar energy projects. The position requires strong communication skills and is a full-time role based in the office.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC, USA)

• Familiarity with Residential Solar & Energy Storage Code requirements of cities in Bay Area, California

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in generating Residential and Commercial Solar PV Designs

• Solar certifications

• Self-directed and self-motivated team player

• Experience using AutoCAD 2012 or newer and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Adobe, Helioscope, PVSyst, Arora, Solar Software tools

• Customer engagement, Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

• Demonstrate oral and written communication skills

• Demonstrate organizational and time management skills

• Experience in cost justification for new processes and procedures required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

· Review Site survey forms and provide immediate feedback to Site survey team on each project.

· Plan, design and execute Energy storage and solar energy projects and manage everything from residential & commercial rooftop and ground-mount installations to large-scale municipal projects

· Provide support for Project Management, manage multiple projects and effective time management

· Put together Energy storage and Solar PV Residential Permit plans

· Familiarity with shade studies and energy production calculation using PVsyst and Helioscope software

· Familiarity with Enphase, Tesla and Solar Edge system monitoring software

· Checking and verifying drawings are accurate and complete

· Changes to existing drawings

· Supports the standardization of documentation

· Creating solar panel drawings using CAD software; from designs, sketches, layouts, or notes that may be provided by engineering, with detail and accuracy to facilitate accurate installation of jobs on site

· Implementing design rules and best practices to generate panel drawings to ensure compliance with design requirements

· Generate drawings to support product documentation and accurate installation of jobs on site

· Identifying non-conformance issues and participating in finding solutions

· Service Call support for the solar PV and ESS systems

· Reaching out to manufacturers, Utilities and City’s/AHJ for technical support

· Provide support for Asset Management

· Interaction with installation/field team to ensure 100% work completion
• Candidates not having the relevant US Residential & Commercial PV Design experience will be discounted from the hiring process.
• We will need references to call and verify your previous employment
• CTC will be between 10 - 16 Lakhs per annum based on experience, design accuracy, ability to independently complete the designs, ownership and accountability.
• Mandatory requirement is that work should be performed from Pune, Maharashtra office location only.
