Leidos is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant (PFAS Specialist) in St. Louis, MO, to enhance environmental investigation and compliance services. Candidates should have a relevant bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of experience. Some travel (up to 15%) is required.

Leidos is on the lookout for a Senior Environmental Consultant with specialized expertise in PFAS to enhance our environmental investigation, restoration, and compliance services. This role is perfect for a candidate who has a solid grasp of CERCLA and RCRA investigations and possesses extensive knowledge of various PFAS aspects. Whether you're a generalist or have in-depth expertise in specific PFAS technical areas such as remediation technology, chemistry, or regulatory governance, we want to hear from you. Independence in work paired with strong collaboration skills will be essential for success in this position. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
Your role will involve delivering technical support and guidance across a diverse array of PFAS-related projects. Working closely with the PFAS Practice Lead, you will help shape our PFAS practice services and maintain high standards of technical excellence in our work. You will be an integral part of our PFAS Advisory Team and Community of Practice, helping us ensure consistency and quality in our PFAS projects, from data analysis to visualization and technical recommendations.

With over 40 years of experience in environmental restoration and compliance, Leidos is committed to solving some of the most challenging issues in our industry's landscape. Since starting our PFAS investigations in 2013, we have been at the forefront of addressing PFAS challenges across the nation. We have supported numerous clients, including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and NASA, through various projects, from initial assessments to remediation at over 130 sites.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide technical guidance and support for multiple concurrent projects.
• Ensure Leidos PFAS standard operating procedures are up-to-date and relevant.
• Assist the PFAS Practice Lead with strategic planning for the PFAS portfolio.
• Collaborate with project teams and contribute to conference presentations and technical publications.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders to deliver expert technical support.
• Stay informed about advancements in PFAS science and regulations through ongoing education and professional involvement.
What Sets You Apart:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (environmental science, engineering, etc.) with a minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental work.
• Demonstrated expertise in PFAS environmental restoration and compliance efforts.
• Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively across diverse teams.
• Experience in leading technical discussions with clients and stakeholders.
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel domestically up to 15% of the time.
To be eligible for this position, you must be able to obtain access to, and perform work on, U.S. Government installations. U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status is required.
You Might Also Have:
• Advanced knowledge in environmental characterization and restoration for PFAS.
• Familiarity with agencies such as AFCEC, USACE, and SERDP/ESTCP.
• Master's degree in a relevant discipline with 15+ years of experience.
• Experience in developing technical presentations and publishing materials in professional forums.
• Professional licensure as an engineer or geologist.
Pay Range: Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
The compensation offered will consider various factors, including job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
