Timely Recruit Ltd is seeking a Senior Climate Risk Consultant in Greater London with a salary of £60,000 - £72,000 depending on experience. The role involves advising clients on climate risks and opportunities, conducting assessments, and supporting Net Zero strategies. Candidates should have experience in climate transition risk analysis, strong communication skills, and a track record in consulting. The position is hybrid, requiring some on-site presence.

Location: London/ Surrey ( Hybrid)

This is an exciting Senior role to join a Leading Consultancy who provide excellent services to clients in multiple different industries

Job Responsibilities:
• Advise and guide clients in identifying risks and opportunities associated with Physical Climate Change and the transition to a low carbon economy.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including gap analyses, scenario analysis, and financial quantification of transition risks and opportunities.
• Assist clients in setting Net Zero strategies, targets, and developing decarbonisation roadmaps.
• Provide expertise on regulatory frameworks, climate policy, and pragmatic implementation strategies.
• Support clients in preparing TCFD disclosures and financed emissions expertise.
• Offer practical adaptation and resilience solutions, integrating climate risk into decision-making.
• Conduct climate risk due diligence for private equity transactions and support in structuring sustainable finance instruments.
• Report climate performance in sustainability reports and CDP disclosures.
• Calculate corporate carbon footprints and develop Net Zero strategies aligned with SBTi targets.
• Identify GHG reduction opportunities and integrate them into strategic climate action plans.
• Assist with double materiality assessments for clients

Professional and Personal Attributes:
• Experience in climate transition risk analysis and consulting
• Proficiency in stakeholder engagement, financial modelling, and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong communication skills.
• Track record of delivering consulting solutions for diverse clients.
• Scope 3 value chain assessment.
• Climate risk analysis and management, financial accounting, GHG accounting and data management, internal carbon pricing, carbon credits and removals, climate target setting, transition planning.
