Renewable Energy Systems Expert

POET LLC is seeking a Renewable Energy Systems Expert in Gowrie, IA. The role involves managing capital projects, enhancing plant operations, conducting data analysis, and collaborating with engineers for continuous improvement. Responsibilities include facility shutdown planning, developing expertise in unit operations, and supporting safety management documentation. The position requires problem-solving skills and participation in strategic planning initiatives.
Daily Responsibilities
The Plant Engineer develops, presents, and manages capital request projects and economic justifications for site and Sioux Falls leadership team members. They identify opportunities for plant improvements and work with a team of engineers to initiate and implement continuous improvement and cost savings projects.

The role involves completing and presenting data analysis of process information and creating associated action plans and identifying optimization needs. The Plant Engineer assists with facility shutdown planning and execution and exercises problem-solving skills working with the bioprocessing facility's leadership team and fellow engineers in the field and at our corporate office.

They develop advanced knowledge in specific unit operations and become a Subject Matter Expert that teams can rely on for process expertise. The role supports the Management of Change and Process Safety Management documentation for the facility and assists with creating annual strategic plan initiatives for the site.
