Maryland Environmental Service is seeking a First Grade Stationary Engineer for their Steam Plant in Sykesville, MD. The role involves ensuring efficient operation of firetube boilers, maintaining communication with the Chief Engineer, and performing routine maintenance. Candidates need a high school diploma/GED and three years of steam plant experience, along with a First Grade State license. Job Description:
Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Maryland First Grade Stationary Engineer at our Central Maryland Correctional Facility - Steam Plant Operation in Sykesville, MD.
The Steam Plant, Stationary Engineer assures the firetube boilers and auxiliary equipment are running efficiently to produce steam for our clients. The Engineer shall maintain excellent verbal and written communication with the Chief Engineer by tracking daily logs and tasks. The engineer shall perform routine equipment maintenance functions and other work-related duties as assigned.
Part-time or full-time schedules are available. There may be a potential opportunity to earn yearly increases based on performance.
Estimated Pay Range:
$70,718.27 - $97,237.61

Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from a standard high school or GED plus three years of operating experience in steam plant operations. Must have a First Grade State of Maryland Stationary Engineer’s License and a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.
