Job Description
Maryland Environmental Service is hiring an Environmental Specialist Trainee or Specialist in Millersville, MD, focusing on biosolids management. Job Description:
Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for an Environmental Specialist Trainee or Environmental Specialist within the Water/Wastewater Engineering Division, located at our Headquarters facility in Millersville, MD.
This position focuses on biosolids management for facilities statewide. The qualified candidate will provide technical support that could include regulatory permitting and reporting, compliance monitoring, biosolids contract management, and operational support.
Estimated Pay Range:
$43,909.83 - $60,376.59

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum education requirements for each position include a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, ecology or a related field from an accredited college or university plus:
• Environmental Specialist Trainee (EST) – No additional experience is required.
• Environmental Specialist (ES) – one year of experience in environmental science, regulations, engineering or management.
Applicants may substitute an applicable advanced education degree for up to two years of required experience.
