Corblu Ecology Group is hiring an Ecologist in Woodstock, GA, for a full-time position requiring a B.S. or M.S. in ecology. Responsibilities include field delineation of wetlands, floral/faunal surveys, aquatic sampling, and report preparation. The role is entry to mid-level, with occasional travel and outdoor work. Description

Corblu Ecology Group, LLC is seeking to hire a qualified B.S. or M.S. graduate with strong capabilities in wetland and terrestrial ecology with previous private consulting experience as described below. Position is available in Corblu’s Woodstock, Georgia office. This position is a full-time, permanent, entry to mid-level opportunity based on past work experience.

Typical job duties will focus on field delineation of streams and wetlands, floral and faunal surveys, and supporting duties to include aquatic sampling for fish and benthic macroinvertebrates, field surveys for protected species (aquatic and terrestrial), water quality sampling, habitat mapping, and proposal and report preparation. Mid-level applicants should have demonstrated experience preparing Section 401/404 permit applications and compensatory mitigation analysis. Occasional travel is expected, and candidates should be accustomed to working outdoors under a variety of field conditions.

Responsibilities
• Conduct field delineation of streams and wetlands.
• Perform floral and faunal surveys.
• Support aquatic sampling for fish and benthic macroinvertebrates.
• Conduct field surveys for protected species (aquatic and terrestrial).
• Perform water quality sampling and habitat mapping.
• Prepare proposals and technical reports.
• For mid-level roles, prepare Section 401/404 permit applications and compensatory mitigation analysis.
• Travel as needed and work outdoors under a variety of field conditions.

Minimum Requirements
• B.S. or M.S. in a related field.
• Strong skills in verbal and written communications.
• Technical writing proficiency.
• Native floral identification skills.
• Ability to design and execute field sampling protocols.
• Experience and familiarity with managing collected data in GIS database or similar platforms.
• Ability to work outdoors under varied field conditions.

Preferred Qualifications
• Previous private consulting experience as described.
• Demonstrated experience (mid-level) with Section 401/404 permit applications and compensatory mitigation analysis.
