Job Description

Mohawk Industries is seeking a Sustainability Specialist in Calhoun, GA. The role involves implementing sustainability programs, collaborating with departments, analyzing metrics, preparing reports, and enhancing sustainable practices in procurement. A bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience are preferred. The position offers full-time hours and focuses on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and compliance with sustainability standards.
About the position

Responsibilities
• Help implement Sustainability programs and initiatives that align with the company's strategic goals.
• Support Sustainability projects, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, water conservation, and carbon footprint reduction.
• Collaborate with various departments to integrate sustainability into business operations and decision-making processes.
• Collect, analyze, and report on sustainability metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Prepare sustainability reports for internal and external stakeholders, including annual sustainability reports.
• Track progress towards Sustainability goals and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Document sustainable sourcing policies and supplier assessments.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier compliance with sustainability standards.
• Work with procurement and supply chain teams to enhance the sustainability of products and services.
• Participate in cross-functional teams focused on Sustainability projects and initiatives.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 2-4 years of job-related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
