About the position

As a Sustainability Solutions Manager at Siemens, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technology and business, focusing on sustainable electrification and automation solutions. This position is based in Wendell, NC, and involves strategic leadership, project development, and team management. You will be responsible for developing and communicating a clear vision for sustainability solutions that align with the organization's goals. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and business development, is essential to ensure that technical solutions meet business objectives. Your expertise will be crucial in overseeing the project development and implementation of complex sustainable electrification and automation solutions, from the design stage through construction and service phases. You will monitor department and project performance using forecasting and financial performance tools, ensuring that all solutions meet quality standards, scalability, and performance requirements. Staying abreast of industry trends and evaluating their impact on designs and project development will be part of your responsibilities. In addition to project oversight, you will manage a team of project developers and project managers, setting performance goals, conducting regular reviews, and fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture. Engaging with customers during pre-sales and post-sales activities will be vital to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction. You will also provide updates to senior management on sustainability initiatives, identify and mitigate risks related to solution delivery, and participate in risk reviews and sales-to-operation turnover meetings.

• Collaborate with sales and offer teams during pre-sales activities.

• Ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction post-sales.

• Provide updates to senior management on sustainability solutions initiatives, progress, and challenges.

• Identify and mitigate risks related to solution delivery.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.

• 10-15+ years of experience in a similar role in construction management.
,
• Proven experience in handling large cross-functional teams and cross-cultural projects with full profit and loss responsibility.

• Experience with construction management in the energy sector, civil works, and general contracting.
,
• Demonstrated expertise with behind-the-meter or utility-scale photovoltaic, energy storage, and microgrid systems.

• Proven leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.

• Knowledge of NEC, IBC, IFC codes.
,
• Familiarity with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and market trends related to sustainable energy systems.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience with Siemens best practices and PM@Siemens processes.

• Preferred experience with turnkey construction projects implemented with Photovoltaic Systems, Battery Energy Storage, Engine-generator sets, fuel cells, and microgrid control systems.
