Job Description

Volt Renewables is hiring a Solar Technician in Wichita Falls, TX. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing solar energy systems, requiring expertise in electrical systems and hands-on experience with tools. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates should have strong electrical knowledge and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This is a full-time, in-person position with a pay range of $20-$25 per hour.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and a passion for renewable energy. As a Solar Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar energy systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively. This role requires hands-on experience with various tools and equipment, as well as the ability to read and interpret schematics.

Responsibilities
• Install solar panels and associated equipment according to specifications and safety standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on solar energy systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair any issues with solar installations, utilizing electrical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborate with team members to build and install fixtures in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and voltmeters to perform installation tasks accurately.
• Operate forklifts safely when transporting materials on-site.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding system performance and maintenance needs.

Skills
• Proficient in reading schematics and technical drawings related to electrical systems.
• Experience with low voltage electrical systems is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical principles and practices relevant to solar technology.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and voltmeters used in installation processes.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards on the job site.
• Forklift certification is a plus but can be obtained post-hire if necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:
• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

Supplemental Pay:
• Bonus opportunities

• Quarterly bonus

Experience:
• Voltmeter: 1 year (Required)
• Electrical systems: 1 year (Required)
