Solar Site Monitor - Part-Time

Location: Near Lux, NV
Type: Part-Time
Pay: $120 per completed site visit, about 1 hour (paid via direct deposit every other Friday)

We do this by installing and maintaining equipment that renewable energy developers depend on for feasibility studies and operations.

Role Summary:
We are hiring reliable, detail-oriented individuals to perform routine, weekly maintenance on a single solar monitoring station in your area. This is a very part-time, field-based opportunity ideal for students interested in environmental studies or renewable energy, or anyone looking to earn extra income on a flexible schedule.

Tasks are straightforward and well-documented—perfect for someone who’s dependable, independent, and comfortable working outdoors. All training and tools will be provided.

Site Location:
• Between Lux, NV and Silver Springs, NV
• You’ll be assigned this single site and visit it once per week.

Responsibilities:
• Visit your assigned solar monitoring site once per week (most visits take about one hour)
• Clean solar panels and sensors according to Harness Energy training and specifications
• Level and clean pyranometers
• Inspect the site for any signs of damage or equipment disruption
• Clear grass and vegetation to maintain a height under six inches
• Tension loose guy wires as needed
• Take clear, required photos of equipment and site conditions
• Upload completed site form and photos to SharePoint via smartphone the same day
• Send a confirmation of completion to the Solar Support Team after each visit
• Notify the Solar Support Team promptly about any site damage or irregularities

Scheduling Details:
• During onboarding, you’ll select your regular weekly service day
• The day should stay consistent week-to-week
• All visits must take place during daylight hours for safety

Qualifications:
• Reliable personal transportation
• Smartphone capable of sending texts, taking photos, and uploading documents
• Comfortable working independently outdoors in various weather conditions
• Basic familiarity with hand tools and following written instructions
• Strong commitment to reliability, communication, and professionalism

Compensation:
• $100 per completed site visit
• Paid via direct deposit every other Friday
