Site Support And Compost Operator

Green Camel Pty Ltd is seeking a Site Support and Compost Operator in Cobbitty, NSW. The role involves operating various machinery for soil and compost operations, performing general facility duties, and maintaining safety protocols. Candidates should be self-motivated, able to work independently, and available for shifts, including weekends and holidays. This is a full-time, in-person position with a pay rate of $30.13 per hour.
Green Camel in Cobbitty NSW is looking for an energetic and reliable Site Support and Compost Operator. Reporting to the Head Grower, you will use a variety of machinery and equipment for soil and compost operations along with supporting the facility with general duties.

Principle Duties:

- Operate a variety of light and heavy equipment used in constructing soil composition and compost. Equipment used but not limited to forklift, tractor, windrow turner, mower, utility vehicles.
- Operate equipment safely and verify that equipment is in proper working condition by checking tires, oil and fluid levels, greasing equipment, cleaning and performing visual inspections. Recognize and report malfunctions and needed service.
- Construct compost windrows, turn windrows, pile and screen compost.
- Perform a variety of activities in support of the facility operations include but not limited to; record keeping, monitoring windrow temperatures, and general site maintenance.
- Maintain clean working areas including workstation, parking lot, facility grounds & equipment. Use hand tools as necessary.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to environmental regulations throughout the composting process.
- Ability to perform associated duties in an outdoor working environment with exposure to various weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, etc.) and potentially hazardous and/or contaminated materials, ability to operate a variety of light and heavy equipment used in the compost facility operations in a safe and effective manner. Must be available for emergency response, must be available to work shifts, irregular hours, including holidays and weekends.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
