Role Overview

The **Sales Support Analyst** serves as a subject matter expert on the company's retail energy business operations processes and systems. They work to assist NRG Sales originators in efficiently growing the business through revenue generation activities. The primary responsibilities include developing and maintaining strong working relationships with NRG Business C&I customers and third-party sales channels, as well as dealing with customer account information, pricing, and contract generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and verify Power and Natural Gas usage information
  • Ensure accurate deal structure of Power, Natural Gas, and other product offerings
  • Accurately price and understand product offerings to prepare proposals, contracts, and assist in revenue generation
  • Maintain SLA productivity target in managing deal set-ups and delivering RFPs on time
  • Generate, review, and renew contracts for various product offerings
  • Act as a liaison between sales originators, customers, sales channels, and Operations departments
  • Provide expertise in the use of CRM and pricing systems
  • Research and resolve enrollment failures and dropped customer accounts
  • Follow all Sales, Legal, and Contract Administration policies and procedures

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 or more years of experience in sales, marketing, or customer service
  • Knowledge of utility rules and requirements for retail energy suppliers
  • User capability with Microsoft Office products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field
  • Energy industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of retail energy commodity products and pricing components preferred
  • Knowledge of the sales cycle preferred

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and deadline orientation
  • Resourcefulness and ability to work with limited supervision

Working Conditions:

  • Open office environment
  • Sensory attention required
  • Mental stress due to strong demand for results and multiple simultaneous demands
  • Minimal travel required
  • Hybrid schedule

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time spent sitting in a comfortable position with occasional movement
