Power Systems Engineer (Hardware in Loop), Utility Energy

Tesla is seeking a Power Systems Engineer (Hardware in Loop) to help design, model, and integrate their solar-battery-charging ecosystem. The engineer will work on in-house modeling and hardware-in-loop testing for energy storage, solar, and electric charging systems. They will collaborate with utilities and system operators to influence system design and facilitate scaling on the grid. Responsibilities include creating models, performing testing, improving HIL setups, and keeping models current with technology. Strong knowledge of power system modeling tools, programming languages, and control theory is required. This is a full-time position based in Melbourne, Australia.
