About the Role

The role will involve working alongside the Portfolio Finance and Capital Markets teams, with responsibilities including:
• Supporting various financing activities such as debt term conversions, tax equity fundings, refinancings, tax equity partnership buyouts, and asset divestitures.
• Reviewing and negotiating changes to transaction and project documentation, including amendments, waivers, and approvals from financing parties.
• Leading due diligence processes during funding stages, coordinating with consultants, legal teams, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborating with internal teams like Construction, Corporate Finance, and Asset Management to address ongoing financing requirements.
• Managing and updating financial tracking models and supporting internal and external requests for modeling related to projects under construction and in operation.
• Maintaining professional communication with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, financial institutions, and investors.

What We Look For
• Strong knowledge of renewable energy development.
• Experience with project finance and tax equity transactions, including managing and auditing financial tracking models.
• A passion for renewable energy and a strong commitment to contributing to climate solutions.
• Experience in transactions within the energy, infrastructure, or real estate sectors, ideally in roles with developers, operating companies, private equity firms, management consulting, or banking.
• Basic understanding of tax equity structures, partnership tax principles, and construction/term loan facilities.
• Advanced financial modeling skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze data to draw meaningful conclusions.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and attention to detail skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with discretion in handling confidential matters and interacting with external parties.
• Ability to collaborate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and identify critical tasks.

Minimum Qualifications
• 2-4+ years of experience in project finance.
• 1+ year of experience in renewable energy.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field (MBA or CFA is a plus).
• Solid understanding of renewable energy markets, solar technologies, and project finance principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
• Work in an East Coast or West Coast based office.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.
