Job Description
The Australian Department of the Environment is seeking a Policy Officer - Strategic Policy. The role involves working on water policy development and legislative reforms, with a focus on the sustainable future of rivers and wetlands. Key responsibilities include policy research and analysis, policy design and development, and providing advice. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of water legislation, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders. Qualifications in law, economics, natural resource management, science, or public policy are desirable. Australian citizenship and a Baseline Vetting security clearance are required.
