Role Description

Corugami is seeking a creative and proactive Structural Packaging Designer to join our dynamic team in Pune. This full-time, on-site role offers the opportunity to work across diverse packaging projects, from conceptualization to implementation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating structural designs, developing detailed construction drawings, and applying engineering principles to packaging solutions. As a key player, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are not only innovative but also feasible for production.

Responsibilities
• Design and develop cutting-edge, sustainable packaging solutions for our clients and upcoming projects.
• Create structural packaging concepts that align with client objectives, brand goals, and user needs.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure packaging designs are production-ready and feasible.
• Prototype and test packaging designs to ensure they meet functional, aesthetic, and durability standards.
• Develop and produce packaging specifications and production-ready files for manufacturers and suppliers.
• Stay current on trends in packaging materials, design techniques, and sustainable innovations.

Qualifications
• Degree or diploma in Industrial Design, Product Design, Packaging, or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as ArtiosCad, EngView, AutoCAD, or similar.
• Strong passion for packaging design with a deep understanding of materials such as paper, corrugated boxes, rigid boxes, and other sustainable packaging options.
• Excellent understanding of structural design principles, 2D modeling, and construction techniques.
• Solid knowledge of industry trends, printing methods, and sustainable alternatives.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
