About the role

We are currently recruiting for a Metering Services Support Officer to join the team on a fixed term, full-time basis for a 12-month period.

Ideally this position will be based from Port Macquarie, however applications are welcome from potential candidates based anywhere within Essential Energy’s operational footprint.

The Metering Services Support Officer is responsible for providing administrative services to support Essential Energy’s metering business. The Metering Services Support Officer is also responsible for coordination and liaison with internal and external customers to assist the processing of data, transfers, work orders and billing as well as maintenance of accurate records.

About you

Our ideal candidate for this position will have excellent experience in building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships within finance and compliance and other external stakeholders. You will be able to adapt to new processes and systems in a changing environment whilst sharing information and supporting others in a collaborative team environment.

Some key accountabilities of the role will include:
• Provide support to customers and staff in relation to customer transfers, hardware commissioning and maintenance and repair of metering equipment to meet business objectives.
• Coordination of transactions from and to the NEM to facilitate meter and standing data information.
• Configure basic meter data and act as a point of contact for enquiries providing customers and stakeholders the most up to date version of data to allow the efficient flow of transfers and billing, including the identification, analysis and correction of identified exceptions.
• Coordinate meter installation and alterations between Metering Services staff and external customers including compilation, completion and processing of finalised work orders to ensure accurate metering data capture.

Required Qualifications
• Cert III in Business or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
• Demonstrated operational understanding of large transactional volume-based service environments or demonstrated ability to quickly gain this understanding.
• Experience in the administration of customer service operations in a functional and transactional environment.
