Position Title: Logistics Manager

Reports To: Senior Supply Chain Manager, US Mfg. Op.
Location: Indiana
Position Summary:
The Logistics Manager will oversee the logistics operations for the company. This includes planning, execution, forwarder management and tracking of the company's logistics activities. The role will also involve managing a team logistics professional to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement logistics policies, procedures, and controls in line with company strategy;
Develop and maintain a logistics network that ensures timely delivery of products and materials to the company's facilities, customers, and suppliers;
Oversee logistics for overseas shipments and ensure proper setup of SAP for receiving incoming equipment;
Monitor inventory levels to ensure that materials and goods are available to meet production and delivery schedules;
Improve standardized logistics system and support warehouse process flows by completing daily, weekly, and monthly verifications of improvement plans on performance;
Develop and maintain logistics plans and procedures to ensure the company's compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., customs, import/export);
Resolve transportation related customer complaints and act as the primary point of contact for Customer Service for all transportation related questions or issues;
Manage / optimize freight costs and budgets, negotiating rates or services where needed or where established agreements do not exist;
Support, coach and manage the logistics team to ensure that all logistics activities are executed efficiently and accurately.
Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, including key metrics and KPIs
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field;
Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics role, with at least 3 years in a management position;
Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements, such as customs and import/export regulations;
Familiarity with freight forwarding software and industry-specific technology tools;
Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team building, performance management, and employee development;
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and projects;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
