Functional Safety Engineer

Applied EV, an Australian technology company, is seeking a Functional Safety Engineer to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations for their autonomous vehicle systems. Responsibilities include performing safety activities, conducting hazard and risk analysis, developing safety concepts and requirements, planning and executing safety validation activities, and maintaining comprehensive safety documentation. The ideal candidate should have formal qualifications in computer science, at least 3 years of experience in autonomous vehicle safety, and proficiency in functional safety activities and Python. Familiarity with safety-related tools and ISO 26262 is also required.
