About the Position
Environmental Science Associates is seeking a highly qualified Senior Paleontologist to join our team of experts in the field of paleontology. As a key member of our Cultural Resources Group, you will lead multi-faceted paleontological resource-related evaluations, research, and analyses for a growing group of paleontologists statewide.

Key Responsibilities
You will manage and carry out surveys and technical document preparation on a wide range of interesting projects throughout the region. This includes managing and conducting archival research, paleontological resources assessments, development of appropriate contexts, paleontological survey and resource documentation, resource evaluations, and impacts analysis meeting CEQA, NEPA, and other requirements. You will serve as the primary author of paleontological resource assessment reports to support larger multi-disciplinary environmental documents.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a graduate degree in paleontology or a closely related field. You must meet or exceed the requirements for a paleontological principal investigator and possess the ability to lead field crews and produce well-written and technically supported documents. Experience working in Southern California with familiarity of fossil materials and sensitive formations common to the region is preferred. You will also need to demonstrate excellent organizational and strong problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with clients and interdisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
