Environmental Sustainability Coordinator

Vanderbilt University is seeking an Environmental Sustainability Coordinator to manage its waste and recycling program in Lynchburg, TN. The Environmental Sustainability Coordinator at Vanderbilt University is responsible for managing the university's waste and recycling program, with a focus on reducing waste and increasing waste diversion. This role involves supervising staff, planning and directing work, maintaining shop spaces and equipment, managing supplier services, and collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement solid waste and recycling services. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, record-keeping abilities, and attention to detail, as well as experience working in a similar role.

Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day operational and administrative activities of the Waste and Recycling program
• Monitor workload, work orders, available resources, and work scheduling to ensure delivery of services
• Research, plan, and implement long-range strategic plans and goals for the Waste and Recycling program
• Collaborate with various departments and groups to design, plan, and execute waste and recycling services for campus events

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
• 3 years of related experience managing waste systems, waste disposal, and waste recycling and diversion
• Excellent organizational skills, record-keeping abilities, and attention to detail
• Ability to analyze data and make recommendations to leadership
