Heritage Exposition Services is hiring a CAD Technician - Environmental Designer in Phoenix, AZ. Position Overview:
Heritage is seeking an CAD Technician – Environmental Designer based in Phoenix, AZ. This individual will to perform any one or more of the following functions: Drive the creation and development of brand experiences, displays and exhibitors to help clients achieve their branded vision, design exhibit projects for proposals and production, develop floor plans of trade shows and events, and/or provide additional support to Graphic Design and Proposal production during high productivity periods.
Essential Job Duties:
• Design and detail association and exhibit projects for trade shows and events
• Provide design expertise to create branded environments and experiences
• Responsible for adhering to a design schedule
• Manage projects both from start to finish, as well as mid-phase
• Working with project staff, maintain projects within budget and deadline time frame
• Responsible for staying current with design trends and technologies in the industry
• Work on multiple projects, meeting deadlines and holding a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Provide quality control and ensure compliance to company standards
• Follow all standard procedures in file format and design development
• Prepare complete and accurate preliminary, construction and detail schematic drawings from 3D concepts and designs
• Develop and produce .dwg floor plans of trade shows and events
• Maintain the H – Hour Customer Service and Mission - treat all internal and external customers with courtesy and respect, with a focus on customer service above all other items
• Attend and participate in project meetings
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 3 Years experience with 2D technical drawing and/or 3D Design, (employment or education)
• Ability to understand space planning and have the skill to visualize and communicate creative concepts both written and verbally
• Ability to learn, and integrate existing modular building systems into designs
• Experience with the standard 2D and 3D software programs including: Autodesk AutoCAD (required) and 3DS-Max (added value),
• Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite required (ie: Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator required and Adobe InDesign as an added value)
• Experience with a CNC router is an added value
• Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
• Strong ability to multitask
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work well with groups
• Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and meet deadlines
• Ability to adjust designs based on constructive feedback from both internal and external clients
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Exhibit Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design or similar design field preferred
• Become familiar with company standards in both the Modular Systems Shop and Print shop with hands-on continuous training.

Physical Requirements:
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, typing, repetitive hand motion and carrying/pushing/pulling & lifting of up to 25 lbs.
