Position Summary: The drafter will play a vital role in converting customer requirements into actionable hardware and software specifications. They will work closely with project managers and engineers to produce precise engineering drawings, design documentation, and material lists. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a strong passion for renewable energy.

Responsibilities:
• Project Involvement: Participate in renewable, solar, photovoltaic, and heat pump projects, supporting the team with high-quality drafts.
• Documentation and Specifications: Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications; review, update, and verify documentation for accuracy.
• Testing and Reporting: Assist with testing new engineering releases; analyze and document problem reports discovered during testing; report progress and suggest solutions to the concurrent engineering team.
• Design Development: Create preliminary design sketches, engineering drawings, and designs for production and manufacturing.
• Estimation and Verification: Estimate material and production costs, prepare documentation packages, and ensure all designs comply with specifications, codes, and regulations.
• Technical Support: Provide written and verbal status updates on testing progress; develop technical reports for engineering reviews.
• Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with project managers and engineers, taking direction and providing feedback to ensure project success.

Qualifications:
• Education/Experience: Background in drafting, technical field, or relevant engineering discipline (Electrical, Computer, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering preferred).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software, especially SolidWorks and AutoCAD; experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing and design processes, as well as codes and standards relevant to renewable energy.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work in a team setting.
• Analytical Abilities: Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Time Management: Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with precision and efficiency.
