Overview:

Facilitate the safety, quality, productivity, cost, and morale production goals of the Canoo Vehicle Program specific to the Logistics, Materials, and Transportation.

Responsibilities:

The Logistics, Materials, and Transportation Director is the face, voice, and heart of Canoo as the liaison between all inputs and outputs of our process. The Area Leader must assure the feasibility of all conveyance processes, standards, and build of products in trial and series production. They hold responsibility from before launch through to the long-term capacity of the shop.

• Support functional leaders, shift leaders, group leaders, team leaders, and team members to create the lowest cost, best performing supply for total production process capacity.
• Responsible for all elements of Materials and Finished Goods management and control.
• Ensure the Department Shop can achieve production targets by creating, implementing, and supporting materials for the entire Manufacturing organization.
• Manage Logistics Engineering and ongoing kaizen improvement.
• Oversee all Materials functions including supply of manufacturing operations, Kitting, Sequencing, Warehousing, Supermarkets, expediting shipments, production scheduling and timing, specifications, material changes introduction and analyses, Material Planning, just-in-time delivery methods, gate-line sequencing, production broadcast, and more.
• Coordinate Pre-series material processes, production planning, order scheduling, data and systems management, transportation, customs trade, compliance, inbound and outbound coordination, shipping, and more.
• Represent the Department Shop with regard to production in relevant committees.

Qualifications:

• Preferred Experience with statistical analysis work measurement and process analysis.
• Ability to multitask across multiple projects.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic, initiative, and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient in necessary tools, hardware, and software.
• Frequent travel between manufacturing business and supplier sites including overnight.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution preferred.
• Grounded with Finance, Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Operations, Technology, or equivalent.
• 15 years of experience.

Salary Range:

$250K - $500K
