Whole Foods Market is hiring a Culinary Supply Chain Graduate Intern in Austin, TX. Whole Foods Market is seeking a highly motivated and driven Culinary Supply Chain Graduate Intern to join our team. As a graduate intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced culinary supply chain team and gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of food sourcing and distribution. Conduct research on sustainable sourcing and local ingredients to identify potential suppliers and products that align with Whole Foods Market's values and standards.
Collaborate with the culinary supply chain team to develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts for sourcing ingredients.
Assist in the development and implementation of sustainable sourcing practices and initiatives.
Monitor and analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and food safety standards in the sourcing and distribution process.
Communicate and coordinate with various departments within Whole Foods Market to ensure efficient and timely delivery of ingredients.
Participate in market visits and vendor meetings to assess product quality and gather feedback on current and potential suppliers.
Assist in the development of menus and recipes that highlight sustainable and local ingredients.
Contribute to the creation of educational materials and trainings on sustainable sourcing for team members and customers.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in sustainable sourcing practices and share knowledge with the culinary supply chain team.
Take on additional projects and tasks as assigned by the culinary supply chain team.
