Environmental Resources Management, Inc. is hiring an Entry Level Consulting Associate, Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) Technician for full-time project-based work in Indianapolis, IN. Responsibilities include conducting LDAR monitoring, performing calibrations, troubleshooting instruments, and conducting inspections. ERM is hiring an experiencedLeak Detection and Repair (LDAR)Technician(Full-time) for full-time project-based assignments at a client campus in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this critical role, you will be responsible forassisting with routine LDAR monitoring and compliance audits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ability to conduct LDAR monitoring in accordance with the requirements of EPA Method 21 for routine monitoring purposes, repair verification, and comparative monitoring evaluations.
• Perform calibrations and drift checks on FID/PID instrument.
• Troubleshooting of the FID/PID instrument.
• Ability to conduct audio, visual, and olfactory (AVO) inspections and identify open ended lines (OELs).
• Ability to identifyvarious types of equipment subject to LDAR requirements and potential leak interfaces (e.g., valve types, flanges, instrumentation systems, pump seals, agitators, and pressure relief devices).
• Work well with client monitoring technicians during audit conditions.
• Able to self-start while mindful of last-minute changes to the client’s needs and schedule.
• Follow standard operating procedures written to maintain compliance assurance of regulations and permits.
REQUIREMENTS:
• High school degree required.
• 0-2 years of relevant LDARemissions monitoring experience in industrial settings.
• Demonstrated field experience and understanding of various component types and instrumentation systems.
• Trained in Method 21 monitoring using a FID/PID instrument.
• Prior experience working in the pharmaceutical, chemical, or refining sector will be an important candidate selection factor.
• Ability to compare isometric drawings to facility piping (isometric drawings follow the North, South, East, West, Up and Down of field equipment and are tagged at potential Leak Points).
• Drug screening required.
• Candidate must be able to work at moderate to high levels of physical exertion for extended periods. Activities include but are not limited to data entry and monitoring equipment calibration and troubleshooting,standing or walking for 8 hours per day while carrying 20 pounds of equipment in a backpack, climbingstairs and ladders, working at heights and in all variations of weather.
