Conservation Field Officer
Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Conservation Field Officer to contribute to Council’s success.
• Enjoy a healthy work-life balance on a 9 day fortnight roster – with your team currently trialling an 8 day fortnight roster
• Located at Tannum Sands

About the Role
The purpose of this position is to support Council's direction by undertaking effective and efficient conservation and sustainability tasks benefiting the natural environment and reserves in the Gladstone region.
You will bring:
• Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management (or related field), skills and experience to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
• Labouring skills to carry out maintenance activities on a daily basis.
• Demonstrated skills and experience in planning, prioritising and organising work activities for self and team.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Effective communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills to liaise with employees, stakeholders and customers and to accurately document and record information.
• Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.
• Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
