About the position

The Community Outreach Coordinator at West Biofuels, LLC is responsible for supporting community benefits and outreach activities related to bioenergy projects in rural California. Responsibilities
• Represent West Biofuels at town halls, Board of Supervisor meetings, and other local or County events.

• Build strong partnerships with local government officials, technology partners, and key stakeholders.

• Advocate for West Biofuels' bioenergy projects in Burney, Mariposa, and Mammoth Lake.

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure effective communication of the Company's mission and values to the community.

• Foster positive relationships between the Company and the communities being served.

• Organize and coordinate outreach events and activities on behalf of West Biofuels.
,
• Prepare and submit written progress reports to government agencies and internal teams.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• At least 3 years of experience in community engagement, outreach, or advocacy work.
,
• Excellent public speaking skills to represent the Company.
,
• Strong interpersonal skills.
,
• Ability to educate and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
,
• Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
,
• Project Management experience a plus.
,
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
,
• Strong writing skills.
,
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
,
• Valid CA driver license and satisfactory driving record.
