We are looking for an Agricultural Solutions BU Controller to join our AP team in RTP, NC. Come create chemistry with us! We help farmers deliver the best possible outcomes, working to achieve the balance between economic, environmental, and social value creation for sustainable and efficient agriculture.
The US Agricultural Solutions BU Controller is expected to be an advisor, decision-maker, and trusted business partner to the BU leadership team. They will directly handle financial and strategic steering, forecasting and reporting of business operations, and development of financial KPIs. Strong collaboration and influencing skills are required to work cross-functionally and achieve both long and short-term results. This includes managing strategic and operating financial plans, effective working capital management, and ensuring compliance with internal and external financial policies and procedures. The role also includes overseeing a complex fulfillment incentives financial process, ensuring accuracy and integrity in accruals reconciliation and payment processes with customers and channel partners in close collaboration with the US Ag Business Operations Team.
**As an Agricultural Solutions BU Controller Research Triangle Park, NC, you create chemistry by:**
- Being responsible for the development and monitoring of financial budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of the business financial performance (full P&L with revenue exceeding $2b).
- Analyzing trends, identifying efficiencies, and serving as a trusted business partner for both strategic and operational steering requirements.
- Leading a team of two financial analysts focusing on talent development and effective succession planning within the Regional Controlling Team.
- Leading a highly complex area of responsibility related to customer incentive prepayment programs, including accrual reconciliation, payment, and compliance.
- Taking the lead on controlling finance topics as a member of the US Ag Leadership team, providing ad hoc analysis and recommendations for decision-making and optimal business steering.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of the business models to steer P&L and NCC optimization, including product offerings, market differentiation, competition, business path to market, customer incentive process, and related financial controls.
- Undertaking ad hoc projects, initiatives, and business modeling as needed.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics. MBA and/or Master's degree as well as CPA/CMA considered a strong plus.
- 10 years of strong finance controlling or related fields experience.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to lead and motivate team members.
- Strategic and analytical thinking supported by market and business insights.
- Strong entrepreneurial drive with a proven ability to initiate, lead, and execute process improvements projects.
- Agility to manage complex business requirements, ad hoc initiatives, and projects.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for this position, subject to business needs and changing requirements.
